    Why Flippa Sucks.

Flippa sucks. They allow you to post your listing but charge you for it. $19 minimum and then ridiculous fees to upgrade which you'll need to get top dollar.

Then they take a cut of your final sale...

But, that isn't why they suck. They need to make money somehow even if they are beating up the little guys on both ends.

No, the reason they suck is because of their comment policy. They allow a user to post comments on your site sale, often troll comments. If you delete any comment the trolls can report it and get it restored. I had one guy post the same message 6 times. I reported each and every one and deleted them. Flippa restore his troll ass messages.

I'm trying to sale a website here, not get trolled by idiots looking to devalue my websites. That is ridiculous. Someone needs to come up with something new, not ran by damn nazis.

    Flippa Sucks.

Flippa tends to be on the side of the buyers for some reason. If any other media allowed the comments that flippa allows, it would break down. If you list a bicycle on Iwanna or Ebay, they wouldn't allow pointless comments like:

Your bike looks like crap. i'll give you $5 for it instead of your $50 bin
But on flippa, that exact kind of comment crap is allowed. If you delete it, they report it and Flippa restores it because "it is valid to the listing" (if they even respond to you at all). Allowing trolls to post the same message 6 times is just insane. I'd be furious if I were you.

There are other reports of the sales price and comments sucking on flippa:
    Flippa Sucks - Flippa.com Sucks
    Flippa Sucks
    Flippa.com – The blackest sheep from SitePoint » Scorpiono.com

And certainly check this one out: Why Flippa.com Sucks | eFlipp: Buy and Sell Websites

    I love this:
4- Greedy Bastards – Once your website reaches the end of auction, Flippa recommends you use Escrow.com to make the transaction. (They get a commission from each transaction made via escrow.com). Escrow.com uses antique methods to verify domain transfers, so you can get scammed very easily using their “safe escrow service”. Flippa only recommends them so they get their cut (more fees for you to pay).

Flippa also drives the prices of websites way up. It is owned by sitepoint and they are notorious for sucking the money out of people.

First I want to say hello to everyone here. I'm new and I was doing a search for 'Flippa Sucks'

I have a neat story. Anyone know Jamie Lewis? He's that goofy looking internet marketer that uses fancy sales copy and smooth talking to trick people into buying his rehashed garbage. I left a comment on one of his sales pages about his website being BS and that it was misleading etc, etc. He removed my comment of course, and then complained to Flippa about it. They then turned around and banned my account saying that MY account was linked to another account by PayPal (somehow...I don't know how...email perhaps, but NOT my email) and that I had unpaid fee's. I have never heard of the account name they are talking about and all attempts to get any other information from them have failed. I was there for over 1 year, perfect record, perfect feedback, and I ALWAYS paid all my fee's on time, RIGHT AFTER each sale. Isn't it ironic that after I report Jamie Lewis, they craft some fake garbage to ban my account and throw it on me? They are the very worst company I have dealt with since I was at Godaddy. I build and sell incredible websites that people can make legit money with, and they harbor internet snakes and create stories to ban legit people. That is who Flippa is. Now if I can just find a better place to go and sell websites.

    4 reason of Flippa Sucks.
    1. Already Established Marketplace – Like I mentioned above, the SitePoint marketplace is already very well established. It is mostly known for the website sales sections, and many big sales take place there on a regular basis.
    2. Bloated Fee Structure – The new fee structure is bound to scare off many potential site sellers. As it stands, the listing fee is $19, plus a 5% “success fee” which is capped at $499. That means, on top of the $19 listing fee, you also have to fork over 5% of the final sales price (although not exceeding $499).
    3. It Is Unorganized – On the current SitePoint marketplace, site sales are separated into three subcategories: Startup, Established, and Premium. There are certain criteria that separates these subcategories, and there are also different listing fees. On Flippa, apparently all these different types of sites are just tossed into a pile.
    4. They Ignore Feedback – Upon announcing the site, it seems the feedback has been overwhelmingly negative. People don’t like the design, usability, fee structure, among other things. Not only do SitePoint staff seem to ignore the negative feedback

I do agree. Flippa.com really sucks.

The website statistics they are given are seems forged .

    For example
I have seen a website got sold for above 20k USD which has no proper monetizing model

you can see lot of stories with flippa, for this you need some common sense to inspect this ( I hope,so that they are deleting the previous site stories from the index)

But it will not all the time applies, some time you can find the great websites got sold with them.

And as our members specified the payment, flippa is more concerned about getting as much money as possible from the clients.

    That's why it's sucks!
