Google backlinks are updated only every 90 days or so, last update was on the end of March. So whatever happens with your backlinks, you won't see any changes in Google backlinks. If you submit your site to Google Webmastr tools, you'll be able to check backlinks in real time.

I'm using smartpagerank.com for backlinks, PR indexed sites and domain age.
