Thread: 10 Quick Things You Can Do Today To Improve Your Search Rankings

You know all that extra time you have to work on optimizing the search engines? [A bit of irony there] I actually tried to establish a list of things you can do to help you go a little higher on the results of Google or Yahoo.

First Sign in various search engines. There are tons of them there. There are also many free services to help you get listed. Or just spend a little time to get that you did. Here is a site Free search engine submission which will allow you to switch between the top 100 search engines and get your site submitted.

2. Get listed in multiple directories. Again, there are many out there. Finding a high pagerank directory. Improvingrank.com has listed about PageRank. See the left side of the home page.

3. Clean HTML code and check connections. Search engines want to have smooth sailing through the site. Use the tools W3c.org and is a real person to control even more of them.

4. Get some 'of links to your site. Make it like you are at least pagerank.

5th Make your page file names descriptive and keyword rich. Name your page new_page_1.html wasting a chance to do some SEO. Use names that describe the content and keep keywords running.

6. Check the title tag. You can use a 90-100 mark in the title, to add some keywords. We know that Google search of them, and so do many other search engines.

7th Check your ALT tags. Search engines can not see the images. Make sure you have the ALT tags on all your images and make sure they are descriptive and keyword rich.

8th Rewrite your URL (anchor) tags. Good anchor tags (the text between http:et / a tags) to reinforce the message and keywords for your site.

Go ninth post some forums and put your site in your signature. The forums are a good place to make way links. And you can help someone at the same time.

10th to set up a plan of the text and put it on your site. There are many navigation, spiders can not understand, such as flash, forms, Java and JavaScript. To compose a text-based sitemap gives robots a way to browse the site.

Fifteen minutes every couple of days makes a big difference to get your ranking higher.
