What does dafuq mean and why did it come about?

Dafuq is slang for "The Fuck". The is replaced by "Da" like Da Fuck and then Fuck is further replaced by Fuq. Dafuq.

Yeah, it's a really clever turn of phrase to use for a forum name. Though sometimes WTF (used on this forum) gives me pause as i try to figure out whether the person is referring to the forum or the swear word. lol

I guess when jordan gave webmastertalkforums name to this forum, he never thought that it's acronym we will take to be WTF

It's a catchy name for a forum. Not a name that slips the mind.

Definitely not ) When you first tell someone about a forum called WTF they are a bit suspicious )

Accidentally, when I wore the T-shirt for the first time from WTF few days ago, people were staring at me !

Also, I hear this phrase, 'dafuq' a lot on Jordan's gamer forum, Gamersbin.

Well, dafuq is pretty common in gamers' language, there's no wonder it's used that often on GB.
