Does a NBA player "deserve" 10 million a year? For playing a game?

Does a NBA player "deserve" 10 million a year? For playing a game? No sane person thinks so. But that's what the market will bear. There's no "good" and "bad" involved. If you play basketball better than 99.99999% of the population, that's what the market has decided you're worth.

Not really and neither do movie stars for that matter. It is odd how we pay entertainers all this money but we never pay the ones that need it like police men, teachers, etc.
