Netflix Price Increase - I think I'll quit.
Netflix just sent an email stating they are going to split the unlimited video from any DVD/Blu-ray package. And they are raising the price of both!
You'll have to pay a minimum of $16 per month now if you want both.
I think I'll quit netflix and start using ThePirateBay.org, which is $0 per month.Your current $9.99 a month membership for unlimited streaming and unlimited DVDs will be split into 2 distinct plans:
Plan 1: Unlimited Streaming (no DVDs) for $7.99 a month Plan 2: Unlimited DVDs, 1 out at-a-time (no streaming) for $7.99 a month
Your price for getting both of these plans will be $15.98 a month ($7.99 + $7.99). You don't need to do anything to continue your memberships for both unlimited streaming and unlimited DVDs.
These prices will start for charges on or after September 1, 2011.

That's a usual situation when companies firstly invite you and wish you luck with their production, but then as a result of becoming rich their greediness eats their conciseness. So after that they are don't really care about you, so hope that Netflix's steps are not because of this reason.

It will lose customers initially but they have a good marketing strategy which they will apply in future to get new customers. So, basically it will lose few existing customers but it will surely get new customers from untouched market or sector.

I think it will lose very few customers. Its still a great service and people will pay the extra couple of bucks to have it. I still think that websites like netflix will replace the ordinary TV programs some day.
