    vps location: Does is matter?

When individuals seek offers for VPS servers, often they ask for particular location of server.
Wheter the proximity of physical location or distance between server an user have any impact on performance of any applications that run on vps?

Just choose a VPSprovider who's datacenter is geographically close to your targetaudience. Also a host that is fairly close to you, since you'll bethe one accessing the VPS the most.

    Hi,

for about datacenter's it's better to get it closer as you can to your country. But it is better to get VPS or dedicated server in USA than in another country because USA companys has very good connection's, server hardware and support. But if you need for example game server you can't buy vps from company who is far from you because ping.

Stability and durability of the server is more important than the location. My website is India based website. Whereas i have got my VPS from www.TuckTail.com who are US based hosts. I have been with them for the past couple of years. I haven't faced any hard time from them till date. I am very much satisfied with their service. So from my point of view location for a VPS really doesn't matter.

Try to gather as many reviews about its web hosting services (both positive and negative) and serve these as basis in choosing web host providers.

As of what I think, location doesn't matter a much but it's good if you look for a near hosting provider. What is important is to have a good hardware annd technical support.

There are several roads where the geographical location of your VPS has influence.
If your Virtual Private Servers are located in a country that’s in a different time zone, you might have trouble reaching technical support.
The geological location of your VPSs can also reflect on your SEO (Search Engine Optimization), in a couple of ways.
The reliability of the virtual private server as well as the speed of the internet connection of the VPS Hosting provider you choose would be also going to matter.

The location of VPS is very improtant because when you run something from your VPS it needs time to come to main server and closer it is faster it will come.
