Copy/Put Sony HXR-NX5U AVCHD footages into FCP 7 for editing
Guide on Converting Sony HXR-NX5U AVCHD footages compatible ProRes with FCP 7 on Mac OS X?
STEP 1: Import AVCHD files
Click "Add" icon to select the files you want to convert to the best Mac MTS/M2TS Converter for FCP 7.
Tip: If you wanna join MTS/M2TS files for Final Cut Pro 7, please check the "Merge into one" box.
STEP 2: Select Output Profile
Select the output format for FCP 7 via clicking on Format > Final Cut Pro > Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) (.*mov). And you can set the output folder as you want.
PS: There are some other Apple ProRes profiles for you, just choose the one you need.
STEP 3: Adjust settings
Click the “Settings” icon and you’d better set the video size as 1920*1080, video frame rate as 30fps for importing Sony HXR-NX5U AVCHD to FCP 7 with the best quality.
Tip: If your files were recorded in AVCHD FX (24Mbps) or AVCHD FH (17Mbps) 1920x1080/60i recording option, you’d better deinterlace Sony NX5U 1080/60i MTS first to remove all these interlacing artifacts from videos via ticking the “Deinterlacing” box in the Video Editor interface.
STEP 4: Start to convert
Click on the "Convert" button to convert Sony NX5U MTS/M2TS to ProRes for Final Cut Pro 7 on Mac OS X
